Recreational soccer program

Academy is our unique program that consists of intensive technical and tactical training, along with fun, small-sided competition. You can do this as a stand-alone program, or paired with either Micros or our 2013 or 2014 Competitive program. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

PROGRAM DETAILS

How does it work?

Academy will be offered to any players who want extra technical training either in addition to their team-training (either Micros or 2013-2014 comp team) or you can opt for the stand-alone Academy experience. It is our unique hybrid program that bridges recreational soccer with competitive play. Your player is NOT obligated to play on a travel team as this is a recreational program at a base level designed for technical development of each player.

Sessions

Mondays & Wednesdays

4:30-6p at Fort Turf

April 1-June 19, 2024

All age groups can choose single days, or both M&W
2015 team option must do both M&W

Fall/Spring sessions

No Freestyle Friday option this season.

For Players Born in 2013-2014:

Our 2014 and 2013 competitive teams were already formed in our tryout process back in November. Players that register for Academy that are NOT already affiliated with a competitive team may have the option to join an already formed comp team for a tournament in the event that they need guest players.

For Players Born in 2015:

*2015 birth years have the option join forces with other 2015s in the program to form a team that will play at local "friendlies" and tournaments (Coeur d'Alene, Kalispell and our Intermountain Cup, held in Missoula).

These teams would be formed within the first two weeks of the AC program. 2015s who join a team must be at both Monday & Wednesday sessions. If interested in this option, click on the 2015 Academy Team registration link.

You will be charged an extra $350 fee that covers tournament costs and team expenses. We offer payment plans.

Uniform cost is separate.

Look for the payment plan: "2015 Team Option" when registering.

This option is ONLY FOR 2015 birth years.

Gear

Academy players will receive a training top.

They will be required to wear shinguards, soccer socks and cleats to every session.

STAY TUNED: 2015s team players will need to get a uniform from soccer.com

$300 for both Mondays & Wednesdays

$150 for either Monday or Wednesdays

$650 for Academy and 2015 team option (2015s only--3 tournament fees included)

The registrar will register your child's team for this tournament. You will not need to do anything in regards to registering for tournaments. The fees for these tournaments is already built into your fees.

Strikers Academy is our unique program that provides a more intensive opportunity to focus on skill, technical training, and to assist players to reach their potential in the sport. It's comprised of both small-sided training and individual techniques. Our Academy is our "bridge" between Micro Strikers, and our Competitive program, beginning around age 9.

The Strikers Academy mission is to provide a learning environment where players are free to explore their passion for the game, learn how to play better as an individual and a team mate, and prepare themselves for the challenges that will face them when they compete for spots on Strikers competitive travel teams, their school teams, or college teams.

The Academy develops fundamental skills such as:

-Dribbling & Directional Movement with and without the ball-

-Passing & Striking-

-Close Control & Juggling-

-Introductory Attacking & Defending Principles-

The Academy aims to help kids develop all of these techniques and skills in a fun and enjoyable environment. Delivering fun coaching sessions with disguised techniques and introductory tactics will be the key behind our young players development and love for the game.

Strikers Academy does not focus on wins and losses. The most important aspect of academy is the development of the individual and group as a whole. We measure our success based on the physical and mental improvements made by each child. A coach’s results are publicly on display at every event and game. We can measure the effects of a coach by a child’s beaming smile, respect, and the sportsmanship shown. Our hope is that everyone involved in this program mirrors this philosophy at all times.
