Ages 5-12 RECREATIONAL SOCCER
Spring registration open NOW!
First games are 4/14
Our Micro Strikers recreational program is committed to helping each player learn, grow, and celebrate his or her love of the game. We are dedicated to developing character, integrity, and personal growth for the youth player, student athlete and future leader. We serve our community by continuing a tradition of fun and excellence in developing players, coaches and teams.
The success of the Micro Strikers FC program depends on volunteer coaches for the teams. No experience is required; however we do encourage coaches to attend our age appropriate clinic held at the beginning of the season MARCH 27
Contact email@example.com if interested in coaching!
Practice locations will vary depending on what area of town you live in or where you go to school (first come first serve). Micro Strikers FC staff leave it up to coach/team discretion over where or when practices are held.
The number and length of practices depends on the age of child: Younger children may practice once a week for 45 minutes to an hour. Older children may practice for an hour two times a week.
Your player will pay for a set of two jerseys, which must be worn on game days.
Families are responsible for purchasing cleats, shinguards, soccer socks, and shorts. Black socks and shorts are recommended, but there is no firm rule on color.
If your child needs cleats, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Games are played on Sundays (times may vary).
We emphasize games with small teams and free-flowing play. Teaching and learning focuses on basic soccer skills at age-appropriate levels. Playing small-sided soccer is the best way for kids to learn basic dribbling, passing, and shooting skills. Kids get more time with the ball in practice and games. Every kid is important in small-sided Micro Strikers FC games. They all get the opportunity to score, to defend and to be a vital part of a team. Micro Striker FC players are coached by volunteers, and each coach has access to our coaching training sessions.
Resources for Micro Coaches
"connecting with each child on a personal level"...
"Coach Joe's passion for soccer is truly infectious. From the moment my child joined the Mini Strikers, it was evident that Coach Joe wasn't just teaching soccer skills; he was instilling a deep appreciation for the game and fostering a love of physical activity. His enthusiasm creates an environment where every child feels excited to come to practice, and the joy radiating from the field is palpable." - The Walls
